My Personal Review

Introduction

Manny, Sid, and Diego are back! In this movie, Scrat has accidentally sent a killing meteor toward earth, and it is up to Manny, Sid, and Diego to stop it. As they are going, however, Buck finds some trouble. The movie is a constantly developing, making you want to find out what will happen next. Will they be able to stop the meteor, or will this be the last of the 3 friends?

Ripe Apples

Manny, Sid, and Diego know what they have to do, so they go toward the asteroid to stop it. They experience some bumps, but they still push on. The animals almost always stick together, no matter the cost. Also, Manny becomes more acceptable of his son-in-law when he finally gets over his selfishness. The lesson of the movie stands that everything will not stay the same for ever. This movie explains that you are are going to experience changes in life. While this is true to some extent, we need to make sure that we do not go to far with this idea.

Rotten Apples

The violent content is not really seen in this movie. We do not see any blodd. We only hear of a meteor that will kill millions. We see a few dinosaurs try to eat an egg, but they never do. Meteor showers and electrical storms are also seen.

Buck explains that this meteor has had friends who have come multiple times to destroy the earth multiple times. Other beliefs that are mentioned are purely evolutionary. We also hear of a fountain of youth that is made by one of the meteor’s pieces. This all is completely false, yet it is still in this movie.

Sid tries to get a wife and gives a lady a bikini made out of poison ivy. He is seen with this a few times. He also finds a new woman and they get along better. A few potty jokes involving poop and but are also made. Manny’s daughter is getting married and Manny makes fun of his son-in-law to be.

Manny and Diego are seen drinking some drink, but it is not alcoholic, though it may look like it to some.

Not much language is used in this movie. You may hear a few mild curse words, such as “j–z,” but you hear more potty humor in this movie.

Conclusion

Ice Age: Collision Course has definitely got some great scenes and some funny lines, but it can get inappropriate at times. We need to take this into perspective when we think about watching this movie. Overall though, this movie is a pretty good addition to the Ice Age triology.
