Ripe Apples
Kate wants to help people. She doesn’t want anyone to have the same experience that she has with tornadoes. At the beginning of the film, Tyler seems to only care about thrill and danger, not about the people that are being impacted. However, it is later revealed that Tyler gives money and supplies to the people effected and helps care for them. Both Tyler and her understand that tornadoes are devastating and want to help people that are in trouble.
Kate’s other friend, Javi, works for someone who buys people’s damaged property from them. This buyer is taking advantage of the people who have lost everything due to the storm. However, Javi realizes that the buyer is wrong and begins to help Kate and Tyler.
We see multiple scenes in which the main characters are seen risking their lives for one another and to help those in need. Its very encouraging to watch and shows what it truly means to be generous and hospitable.
Rotten Apples
Since the film is based on tornados, we see a lot of them throughout this film. The winds are very intense, and tornadoes are shown as the dangerous things that they are. The effects in this film are very realistic and they imitate a real tornado. We see multiple buildings destroyed, and people are pulled into the tornado and killed off-screen. One person gets a bad cut on her leg, which leads to some blood. We see the scar from the cut later in the film. We also see a few characters heads bleeding slightly. People get stuck under debris and have to be pulled out.
There is one kiss scene in the beginning of the film. We see a couple in bed together sleeping, but nothing happens.
A few people are seen drinking in the background an unknown drink. It is safe to assume that it could be alcoholic. One person vomits after experiencing a tornado.
There is some language in this film, but not too much. The s word is used about 7 times. We hear the a and d word used a few times. The h word is used maybe twice.
Conclusion
Overall, this film is full of thrills and excitement, but its also portrays tornadoes for what they are. Tornadoes are dangerous weather phenomena that hurt families. This film does a very good job of showing what tornadoes are and what damage they do. The story is very well written and for the most part realistic. If you liked the first Twister film, you will probably like this one. You do not have to watch the first film to understand this one, however. This film is great on its own and a great film that has an amazing soundtrack and some great special effects. I highly recommend you check out this film! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
