Overview
A young street-smart, Nathan Drake and his wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan embark on a dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.
Introduction
Nathan Drake is a young adult who was separated from his older brother, Sam at a young age. After being separated, Nathan decides to give up adventuring and he works at a local bar and serves drinks and pickpockets rich people’s possessions. However, Nathan’s life is changed forever when he runs into an old friend of Sam’s named Sully. Sully approaches Nathan and asks him about if he is interested in a job. Nathan was not interested at first, but after some convincing the two embark on a journey that will change their lives.
Ripe Apples
Nathan is lost after he and his brother is separated, but after his brother goes missing Nathan immediately goes to find his brother. Nathan also helps his friends and doesn’t betray them, which is important because many people betray each other in this movie. It’s kind of a guessing game of who is going to betray who next.
In the end of the movie it is explained that the gold is the prize, but friendship matters more. This is a good example of what a friendship should look like. At the beginning of the movie Sully and Nathan are at odds, but as the movie progresses they become friends and work together.
Rotten Apples
There is some violence in this movie. We see some fighting scenes. In one scene someone is knocked out. Two people almost drown. There is also a scene in which many people are seen falling out of an airplane and being hit with crates and other objects. Many people use guns and shoot people, though people usually miss. One person uses knives and slits someone’s throat on screen.
There is not much sexual content in this movie. Sully says that Nathan has a girlfriend since he trusts a woman that they work with. Sully makes a few comments about them but mainly says not to trust her. This same woman wears clothing that reveals some cleavage in some scenes.
Since Nathan worked at a bar, we see him drinking on a few occasions, but we never see him really drunk. A few other characters also are seen drinking.
There is some language in this movie, but not too much. The Lord’s name is misused a few times. “D-m-“, “h-ll”, “sh–” are used a few times in this movie. We do not here any f bombs in this movie. The language is light compared to some movies.
Conclusion
This movie is very similar to an Indiana Jones movie. The main characters search for the treasure, and they are double crossed multiple times. The plot is somewhat similar to Indiana Jones’ movies but it still is a fun ride if you like adventure and thrill. You could think of this movie as the reboot of Indiana Jones without actually using the names and the characters. I recommend you check out this film for yourself. You can purchase it below!
