My Personal Review

“He isn’t the only one…”

Introduction

Toothless and Hiccup have been friends for a long time. They have had some fights in previous films, but this next one is like nothing they have ever faced. This time, there is a mad trapper who wants to kill every last nightfury. He has succeeded, or so he thought until he found out about Toothless. Now, he is after Toothless, and it is up to Hiccup to lead his village to safety and protect Toothless at the same time.

Ripe Apples

Hiccup learns some very important lessons in leadership and in other areas. He learns that he doesn’t have to lead the village by himself. He also learns that what he wants may not be what everyone else wants. He learns to put others before himself. He also learns that it is important to keep people safe, not a village. Hiccup also learns the lesson of sacrifice.

Rotten Apples

We see a couple of explosions and some intense fights. A few people are seen sword fighting. We also see a couple dragons either killed by an arrow or shot by a dart.

We see a couple of kisses between Hiccup and Astrid. Another couple people kiss. One guy believes that a girl likes him, but we know this isn’t the case. One girl calls herself hot. Toothless is seen trying to impress a lady dragon by doing some crazy movements, but nothing inappropriate, in fact, it is pretty funny. We hear a couple of jokes about people’s butts.

We hear some interesting beliefs in this movie. First of all, this movie tries to tell us that dragons are real. We also hear of a dragon that brings a curse upon people. One person calls Hiccup a demon, but he insists that he isn’t.

Most of the language we hear in this movie has to do with some Viking mythology. We hear “o my g-ds” once as well as “g-ds” once or twice. We also hear “for th-rs sake.” Some name calls are thrown out hear and there, but nothing serious.

Conclusion

Overall, this movie was a satisfying end to the How to Train Your Dragon series. It had a couple good lessons as well as an interesting plot. The lessons Hiccup learns can be applies to everyone’s lives. I wish it didn’t have as much trash talk and mythology in it, but other than that, it was a good movie. I highly recommend that you check it out.
