Introduction

Bryan Lighthouse is a pet photographer who has big dreams but is still waiting for his big break. One day when he is taking pictures of a woman’s cat, something goes terribly wrong where the cat is attacked by another dog. Bryan apologizes but he is then approached by the woman’s husband, who happens to be a crime boss named Vlatko. Vlatko wants to use Bryan to get his daughter citizenship in America. Therefore, Vlatko explains to Bryan the only way for him to repay him for what happened to the cat is for Bryan to marry his daughter, Masha. If Bryan refuses, Vlatko will have him killed. Furthermore, this marriage is only supposed to be for a short time with the only goal being to get Masha her citizenship. After Masha gets her citizenship, the marriage is to be ended. However, the wedding has to look legit so that the government will grant Masha a green card. Will Bryan be able to pull off a “fake” marriage to someone he’s never met?

Ripe Apples

Bryan is a good person who wants to do right. When he is forced to marry Masha, he tries to make the best of the situation. He tries to learn more about Masha. As they continue to talk and learn more about each other, Bryan realizes that he actually loves Masha. When she is kidnapped, Bryan immediately begins to look for her. He  even reaches out the Vlatko and lets him know what happened and explains that he is going to try to find her. This could get him killed, but he wants to do the right thing.

Near the end of the film, Bryan and Masha realize that they are meant for each other and will stay married. The story is very exciting and entertaining. There is a perfect blend of a good story and a lot of great jokes.

Rotten Apples

We see a few people get shot and some blood. We also see a few people get punched and pushed around.

Vlatko tells Bryan multiple times that sexual activity is not necessary for this fake marriage. However, it is indicated that Bryan and Masha sleep together in one scene. We don’t see anything, however. Bryan and one other male character are seen shirtless in a few scenes. Masha and few other female characters are seen in bikinis. Some outfits that the female character wear show some cleavage. Bryan has an assistant who is obsessed with him and is constantly trying to get his attention. She uses suggestive language and dresses suggestively in a few scenes. Bryan has no interest, however. There are a few kisses in this film.

One person is constantly seen drunk and smoking. We see a few scenes in which people are drinking alcoholic drinks. There is one scene in a nightclub.

We hear a few uses of the h and a word. The Lord’s name is misused twice.

Conclusion

This film has a very interesting story that is both entertaining and hilarious. While there were some plot holes, the overall film was pretty good. I enjoyed watching Bryan and Masha realize that they are actually meant for each other. Some of the jokes and other characters fit great into the story. There are a few references that are geared towards adult audiences, but I would recommend this film for people ages 16 and up. Let me know what you think of this film in the comments!
