The End of Star Wars

When Star Wars first came out, it was a big hit that all ages loved. The Original Trilogy had a great story, with a satisifying ending. The original characters were easy to relate to and many people loved watching the adventures that these characters had. After Return of the Jedi, many fans began to believe that that was the end of the Star Wars franchise.

However, with the release of the Phantom Menace, Star Wars was back and bigger than ever. Since the Phantom Menace, we have dozens of TV shows and movies that have come out over the past 25 years. Some of the projects, such as Revenge of the Sith and The Mandalorian, have been great additions to the Star Wars Franchise. But there have also been some projects that have hurt the franchise, such as the entire Sequel Trilogy.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this..

Many Star Wars fans feel differently about different projects. For example, I enjoyed the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries that we got. Other fans enjoyed Andor more than I did. But overall, Star War’s just released a new series this month that might end up destroying the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars: The Acolyte released this month and the first few episodes are available for streaming on Disney Plus now.

I recently unsubscribed to Disney Plus and after reading about what happens in the first few episodes of The Acolyte, I’m glad that I did.The creator of the show, Leslye Headland, had one intention when making this series and it was to make it as gay as possible. During an interview with The Wrap, Leslye stated: “This, I would say, arguably is the gayest Star Wars by a considerable margin.

While I don’t think that there is per se a margin of gayness in Star Wars, it is clear what the intentions of this series was for the creator. The fact that they released this series at the beginning of June adds even more confirmation that this was the plan all along.

In this article, I’m going to share my thoughts about The Acolyte and how it is going to hurt Star Wars in the long run.

The Acolyte Tries to Rewrite Star Wars

Without even getting into what is in the series, many of the cast and crew have been interviewed and have suggested some crazy stuff. For example, I saw one interview where one of the cast members claimed that Anakin Skywalker wasn’t a bad guy because in the end, he blew up the Death Star. Any real Star Wars fan would know that it was Luke Skywalker who blew up the Death Star. As a cast member for a series in a large franchise, I would have hoped you would know the very foundation of the Star Wars trilogy.

That wasn’t the only interview that I watched that made me cringe. In another interview, some of the crew were stating that R2-D2 might be a lesbian. This is completely absurd and R2-D2 is not the only victim to this. Many other character’s “gender identity” are now being discussed by fans.

In my opinion, this doesn’t even matter as it has no part in the story. Since the Acolyte is a prequel set 100 years before The Phantom Menace, they are trying to add things that were never there. This will nevertheless hurt the continuity of the story.

Star Wars has Pronouns now

If you think that what I’ve talked about so far is not good for Star Wars, there is more coming in this series that will add to your disgust. Specifically in episodes 3 and 4, leakers are saying that characters in the series are going to start to use specific pronouns.

The series is also going to attempt to change the force. In the original trilogy, Ben Kenobi describes it as a living force that is in everything. This show is going to try to give the force a female identity, which is something that doesn’t seem to fit the other films and shows.

What Happens Next?

I highly recommend boycotting this series. The basis that is being used is not good and it doesn’t sounds like it is going to get any better. The purpose of this series is to redefine Star Wars and honestly I don’t think many people want to have the Star Wars content they love spoiled by this single show.

By not watching this show and staying away from Disney Plus, you as the viewer can make it clear you will not be a part of this movement that is determined to change everything. I hope that you will share this article with your friends and spread the word that this series is not good for Star Wars and may very well be a nail in it’s coffin.
