Family Friendliness

My Personal Review

“We could collect nuts?

Oh yes, and lets throw them at the Talmarines.”

Introduction

After The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Peter, Lucy, Susan, and Edmund returned to England and lived their normal lives. Nothing more happened for an entire year, then they were called back to Narnia, but when it had been only a year for them, it had been 1300 years for Narnia. Now the high kings and queens have to fight the Talmarine empire to save Narnia. But they are no match for the empire by themselves, until they gain another ally, Prince Caspian.

Ripe Apples

This movie has some interesting spiritual points since the book was written by C.S. Lewis. Aslan is like God, and helps the Narnians, just like God helps Christians.

Caspian and Peter both have the chance to kill a man that they hate, but instead they show mercy. All of the Narnians only kill because it is battle, and they don’t want to die.

There is no language and no drug content in this movie.

Rotten Apples

There are very few problems with this movie. The big thing is the violence. There is one intense sword fight scene, where some blood is seen. No one dies though. In other scenes, people are hit with arrows or sliced with swords, though we see very little. One guy gets and arrow in his butt. Another loses his tail.

Caspian and a girl kiss at the end of the movie. Susan is caught lying to a boy about what her name was.

There are also are two people who try to convince Caspian to do evil, but he doesn’t end up following their evil plan. There is a witch in this movie for a couple seconds.

Conclusion

This is a good sequel for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It has a lot of action that can be violent however. This is the main problem with this entire movie. I like how it has no language or drug content. I would allow any person of 8 years or older to watch this. Will you choose Prince Caspian for your next movie night?
